Out of constant tiredness, back into life.
Tiredness after a long day is initially something normal. If energy, concentration or exercise capacity fluctuate repeatedly, however, many different influences may play a role.
A demanding everyday life often makes it difficult to recognise these connections. Was the night too short? The meal unfamiliar? The physical exertion too high or too low? Is recovery lacking – or should a medical factor be looked at more closely?
Metabolism therefore cannot be reduced to a supposedly “slow metabolism” or to a single laboratory value. It encompasses all the processes by which the body takes in, converts and stores nutrients and provides them as energy when needed.
In this context, prevention does not mean constantly searching for a hidden disorder. It means understanding your own starting situation at an early stage:
How does your body respond to meals and to longer breaks between meals?
How well does it provide energy under exertion?
How well can it draw on fuels such as carbohydrates, fats and proteins?
How good is the capacity to recover after exertion?
How do things stand for you with regard to genetics, gut flora, nutrition, the actual nutrient supply to the cells and hormone status?
Are there medical findings that should be interpreted more closely?
The aim is not a short-term boost of energy. It is a metabolism that can deal as reliably as possible with the demands of your life.
The first step is always a thorough medical history and a discussion of your personal situation, in order to develop a sensible diagnostic and treatment plan.

Hormone status, gut analysis, vitamin status and further parameters are very important for assessing your potential. These should always be investigated individually and by a physician.

Restorative infusions such as vitamin C and B, magnesium, iron, amino acids and many more can be appropriate depending on the individual starting situation and can support the body acutely.
More information
The rooms and suites at Buff Medical Resort are equipped with an altitude climate function, so that you can simulate a night at an altitude of up to 2,000 metres. This has been shown to train your mitochondrial performance capacity – here too, however, the right dose for you has to be determined individually.
More information
We examine your physical performance capacity and, above all, how your body moves into fat and sugar burning under exertion. This gives us clear indications of your metabolic and mitochondrial health and is a reliable parameter for following the course over time.
More informationNutrition is usually the most important factor in understanding why a person has a healthy or an altered metabolism. The mitochondria need certain nutrients in order to function well – which is why looking at nutrition is indispensable.
More informationOver the years, recovery, muscle mass, sleep and metabolism can change. A marked loss of energy should nevertheless not be explained too readily by age. Often several factors act together, and these can be examined in a differentiated way.
Yes. Anyone who performs a great deal professionally or privately can have their own exercise capacity and recovery interpreted as a preventive measure. The aim is not to turn healthy people into patients, but to create a sound baseline for future decisions.
No. The selection depends on your goals, your medical history and the medical assessment. Some questions can be answered by a detailed conversation and a few targeted examinations alone.
That cannot be promised in general terms – every case is too individual for that. In every case, the added clarity and focus on your health potential is intended to enable you to take responsibility for yourself again, so that you can give your body what it needs.
Metabolism, organs, musculature and the nervous system work together without interruption.

Holistic medicine deliberately distances itself from isolated specialist fields that look, for example, only at the nervous system without also looking at the gut. Below we show you some examples of important cross-connections that stand in close relation to your energy balance:
A permeable gut can lead to pollutants that should actually be excreted in the stool being reabsorbed. A healthy gut is essential for a phase of detoxification.

The choice of foods, their preparation and their packaging can influence the intake of certain pollutants. At the same time, nutrition provides important building blocks for the metabolism and can also contribute to detoxification.
