Cardisiography

Modern, AI-assisted heart diagnostics in a few minutes

Buff Medical Resort · Lake Constance

At a glance

A closer look at the heart

Many changes in the cardiovascular system develop over a long period and initially cause no clear symptoms. That makes it all the more valuable to examine heart function early and in detail.

Cardisiography combines the electrical measurement of cardiac activity with three-dimensional vector cardiography and an AI-assisted analysis. This gives our doctors additional information about the electrical activity and regulation of the heart.

The examination is non-invasive, is carried out at rest and takes only a few minutes.

More information than a conventional ECG recording

In a conventional ECG, the electrical activity of the heart is represented through a number of leads. Cardisiography extends that view with a spatial analysis of how the electrical excitation spreads.

For this, the cardiac signals are recorded over several minutes and then evaluated with the help of a computer-assisted algorithm. The resulting report contains, among other things, information on heart rhythm and electrical conduction, as well as indications of possible irregularities, which are then interpreted by a doctor.

Cardisiography does not replace comprehensive cardiological diagnostics, but it can usefully complement them.

What is examined?

Heart rhythm

Recording over several minutes allows a detailed view of the heart rhythm and may provide indications of rhythmic irregularities.

Electrical cardiac activity

The spread of the electrical excitation is analysed not only in conventional ECG curves, but additionally in spatial terms.

Blood flow in the heart muscle

Certain changes in electrical cardiac activity may provide indications of possible circulatory problems in the heart muscle.

Further diagnostics

The results help our doctors assess whether further cardiological examinations are advisable.

For this, Cardisiography combines an extended ECG with vector cardiography and computer-assisted analysis.

Quick and non-invasive

Attaching the electrodes

Five electrodes are attached to the body for the examination — much as for a conventional ECG.

Recording cardiac activity

The electrical signals of the heart are recorded at rest for about four minutes.

Medical assessment

The measurement data are analysed by computer and then assessed by our doctors in the context of your personal health situation.

Keeping an early eye on your heart health

Cardisiography can be used, for example:

  • as part of a preventive cardiovascular examination
  • where cardiovascular risk factors are already present
  • for unclear symptoms such as reduced stamina or shortness of breath
  • where irregularities of the heart rhythm are present
  • as a complementary examination alongside other cardiological procedures
  • to assess whether further diagnostics are advisable

Which examinations are necessary in an individual case is always decided on the basis of your personal history, symptoms and existing findings.

Cardisiography explained simply

How does Cardisiography work, and what information can the examination provide? The video gives you an insight into the procedure and shows how modern heart diagnostics can contribute to an early assessment of cardiac health.
